Working Hard for the Money: Wage and Hour Violation

<

Punching In and Out

Whether you work the normal 9 to 5 or in various shifts, there are work hour rules that your employer must adhere to. For every 8 hours you work per day or 40 hours you work per week, you must be paid your per hour wage. Any excess work per day or week must be compensated 1 and a half of your rate. Anything exceeding 12 hours earns double time of the rate as does any work over 8 hours on the 7th day of working.

Every employer must observe these guidelines when paying their employees. They are actually required by law to provide you with the right compensation for all of your hard work.
